Fred Daviken began writing around the age of fifteen. After studying "Information and Communication Sciences," his military service allowed him to pursue writing as a journalist. In 2001, he enlisted as an officer in the French Army, serving primarily in staff positions (human resources, recruitment, KFOR, and Specialized Military Service).
In 2008, he began writing a novel. Nine months later, it was done. However, it was not until 2013 that Paranoïd patchwork was published by Editions Les 2 Encres. In early 2015, he published Deux écus dorés , a fantastic detective story, in the collection "Polars et histoires policières", published by the association "le 122". In 2016, Comptes à rebours, Malik et Émilie , two mirror novels, were written in collaboration with Hélène Destrem. At the same time, Fred Daviken published a collection of tender and acidic short stories: Avant que la Vie ne nous séparation et autres contes du temps présent (2017) and reissued Paranoïd patchwork (2018), with Books on Demand. Often situating the action of his writings in everyday life, Fred Daviken brings touches of fantasy, offbeat humor and poetry.
In 2020, he founded Éditions Daviken out of a passion for the "comics" medium and a desire to provide a response to the challenges of publishing, particularly in terms of reducing the precariousness of authors and raising awareness of ecological and societal issues.
