To the sound of Java: graphic ballads between Brest and elsewhere

Prefaced by Didier Squiban, this work brings together eight stories published between 2012 and 2021 in the Brest magazine Casier[s], three unpublished graphic novellas and a collaboration with a photographer (bonus).
Each story is intended as an artistic experiment for Gildas Java, serving the words/scenarios entrusted to him by Arnaud Le Gouëfflec, Anne-Gaëlle Morizur, Aude Samama, Bertrand Galic, Briac Queillé, Fred Daviken, Paul Branquart (Brin d'Zinc) and Véronique Durand.

To the sound of Java: a beautiful book to discover and give as a gift

  • Discovery of a complete artist who breaks the codes of graphic narration
  • An intimate work like a notebook of illustrated songs, in a compact format to read anywhere and to give as a gift.
  • A beautiful 96-page book with panoramic cover printed in France by Cloître impression (29), on Rives tradition 320° natural white FSC paper (cover) and on 135° semi-matt 100% PFC paper (inside pages).
